From Garden Design Plans to Construction
The final step in the design process is where the physical construction of what’s been planned for happens, bringing your vision to reality.
Once the agreed landscape design plans are finished, including any softscape and hardscape documents in the scope, the client has one last major decision to make.
Who will carry out all the work?
Some clients take the plans and complete suitable work themselves, while others appoint the relevant contractors and specialists. For projects in Melbourne’s north-east, east, south-east or outer east to Coldstream, Tony’s confirmed service is landscape design. Construction and coordination are separate and only included when expressly stated in writing.

Past South Australian work: In Tony’s earlier South Australian practice, some clients used their completed plans to seek quotes from landscapers and tradespeople for construction.
For a project in Melbourne’s north-east, east, south-east or outer east to Coldstream, Tony’s confirmed service is landscape design. Construction and any other support are separate and only included when expressly stated in a written agreement.
Before appointing anyone for construction, confirm the licences or registrations, insurance, scope, approvals and specialist documentation relevant to the project. Tony’s landscape plans do not replace engineering, building, electrical, plumbing, pool, arboricultural or other trade-specific requirements.
